Client Project Manager – NC

The candidate must be able to plan, execute, and deliver projects according to the specified schedule and budget. This includes managing the efforts of the project team, coordinating all client communications, ensuring the quality of all client deliverables, collaborating with sales to address changes in the project scope, and assisting management in resource planning. The candidate will manage the day-to-day operational aspects of multiple projects and the respective project team using our proven methodology and project standards. The candidate must also be able to provide Client Account Management by using a consultative approach to building client relationships toward a long term partnership. This role supports the growth of the organization by building and maintaining client relationships and providing exemplary service to the client through proactive relationship management and project operations.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Client Satisfaction
  • Work to set realistic expectations with client.
  • Tracking, reporting and maintaining project budgets
  • Reviewing and submitting monthly client invoices
  • Managing projects in a strict, billable environment
  • Partnering with sales to address changes in project scope and scope new opportunities within existing clients.
  • Maintaining good relationships with internal teams
  • Providing weekly status updates on accounts/projects
  • Notifying the sales team when there are additional business opportunities
  • Create and maintain project schedules

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Focuses on providing a consultative approach to building long term client relationships
  • Must be able to take input from project team, consisting of Technical Writer and Technical Illustrators
  • Remain flexible on changing workloads and priorities
  • Ability to manage multiples projects/clients and deadlines
  • Communicate clearly and effectively
  • Problem solver and critical thinker
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial
  • Responds to adversity and change appropriately
  • Positive attitude and ability to build strong working relationships with others


  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3+ years direct work experience in a project management capacity; demonstrated experience leading project teams is a must
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Comfortable in an environment where shifting priorities, demands and timelines are the norm
  • Demonstrated experience managing project teams and interacting with clients
  • Demonstrated success as a Project Manager in an environment driven by budget, scope and deadlines across multiple projects
  • Strong written and oral communication; must be able to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders from Subject Matter Experts(SMEs) to C-level executives via phone, email, and in person
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and general business communication skills
  • People management duties as assigned
  • Limited travel may be required
  • Must have experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Lync, PowerPoint, Visio)
